Reminders

- No games on February 27, 2010 due to Fiesta Edinburg.
- Between the dates of 2/21 and 3/5 the fields at the Municipal Park are closed as the park is used for other purposes.
- March 6th games, must enter park through Doolittle entrance. If you enter through Raul Longoria you will be charged to park.
Spring Season Starting

On the left side menu you will find our season schedules have been updated, and the first games are this weekend. We have a break on the 27th but that just means more practice before the second game. On March 6th everyone needs to know the Raul Longoria entrance will not be open for soccer, you need to go around to the Doolittle entrance.

EYSC Tournament, December 12th

Our Fall 2009 season is over but the fun is not over yet. Edinburg will have a tournament on the weekend of December 12, 2009 with a registration fee of $5 with an unopened (and unwrapped) toy to be donated per child. The toys will go to the Edinburg Police Department who annually give out toys for children who may otherwise not get them. The Edinburg Police Department will be on hand to collect the toys. Our Fall teams will, for all ages, will be able to take part so talk to your teams to get together and sign up.
We will sign teams up for the tournament on December 1st and December 3rd at the Edinburg Municipal Park soccer fields, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. $5 fee per player to be paid at time of registration, toy should be brought to registration or at the latest the first game on December 12th.
Coaches may come down and register their whole team, or parents may come down on their own. At this time we will also be accepting Spring registration/return fees from Fall players. Remeber that it is $25 for Fall players to return and play in the Spring season. New registrations for Spring will have to pay full price, and we will start that shortly.

EYSC will be hosting our last registration day Saturday September 5, 2009 at Academy Sports & Outdoors in Edinburg, TX between 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. Academy is located at 651 E Trenton Rd, right by Hwy 281. Come register your children for Fall soccer and pick up their shinguards and cleats all in one stop.
We will also be at Edinburg Parks and Rec on Palm (by the police station southeast of Freddy and Closner, between 6:30 and 8:00 P.M.
Fall Registration Update

The Fall 2009 season is right around the corner, starting September 19, 2009. Teams are being formed now so get your child registered as soon as possible. For registration information please see our Registration page.
Fall Registration Update

August registration dates will be updated here, so check back often. This week we will have registration on 8/11/2009 and 8/13/2009, that is Tuesday and Thursday. This will take place at Edinburg Municipal Park, at the stand by the soccer fields. Time will be between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Needed for registration is a birth certificate of registered child, copy of that birth certificate, and a copy of a parents driver's license. You will fill out a registration form and pay the registration fee at this time. Also scheduled is registration on Saturday August 15, 2009 in the morning hours.
Fees for the Fall season have been set. We are happy to announce a tiered system to help those parents who wish to register multiple children. The Fall 2009 registration fee will be $70 per child, a second child will be $60, and each additional child after two will be $50. This registration fee helps EYSC provide your child with a team uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks), referees for the games, and other operational expenses the Club has over the length of a season. This fee is for the Fall season only, and a return fee of only $25 will be charged per child for the Spring 2010 season if they take part this Fall. EYSC is a non-profit orginization and we are doing our best to provide an affordable and fun experience for as many children as possible.
August General/Coaches Meeting

The August General Meeting is next Wednesday, scheduled for August 19, 2009. The time will be at 7:00 p.m. and the location is once again at the Edinburg Parks and Recreation building located at 315 E. Palm Ave. All coaches are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting. Also, remember that for the remainder of 2009 all General meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of the month, also at 7:00 p.m. and at the Parks and Rec building.
The coming Fall season will be discussed, with a reminder of specific rules and dates for the coming season. Also, a very important election for Treasurer, Vice President, and Sponsorship Coordinator will take place during this meeting. We would like the best turn out as possible, so please try to show up. Thank you.

Summer Season Beginning

The EYSC Summer season will get underway July 14, 2009, with teams playing games usualy every Tuesday and Thursday. It will be non-stop fun and action for the rest of the Summer. We will have schedules posted here on the web site by the beginning of next week.
Travel Team Tryouts

Tryouts for 95s and 94s will take place July 18th, 10:00A.M. at the Edinburg Municipal Park soccer fields. Players must be born on or after August 1, 1993 to be eligible for these teams.
Tryouts for a 99s (U11) team will take place at the Edinburg Municipal Park soccer fields as well on July 22nd at 7:00 P.M. Players must have been born on or after August 1, 1998 to be eligible for this team.
