Edinburg Youth Soccer Club will begin full Spring 2012 registration on Saturday January 7, 2012.We will be at Academy Sports + Outdoors every Saturday and Sunday in January from 1-6 PM. New registration is $70 for one child which includes a full uniform, additional siblings will be $50 each. Players returning from the Fall 2011 season will be $25 per player.

Edinburg Youth Soccer Club is pleased to announce a year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA’s most popular soccer camp, to host the week long British Soccer camp during the week of June 4-8, 2012 at Edinburg Municipal Park.

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger will hold over 4,000 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 120,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 30,000 parents and coaches.

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39. As part of the Chevy Youth Soccer Program, on behalf of your sponsoring dealership, Chevrolet is hosting FREE youth soccer instructional clinics in your area for ages 6-14 with Dario Sala Soccer!!

Dario Sala is the former goalkeeper for FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and heads up an organization that is running clinics throughout the region as part of the Chevy Youth Soccer program. The professional instructors that his group provides will put on an outstanding clinic and teach kids in your clubs/leagues some great tips on how to become a better player!

The Week 2/September 24th recreational games being canceled has not changed our schedule, and we will continue with the Week 3/October 1 games this Saturday. Every attempt to reschedule canceled games will be made and those would occur on November 19. In some cases this may not be possible, but most age divisions should be able to with no changes. The make-up schedule will be finalized at a later time. Thank you.
